ORI is a console that pairs thinly sliced Carrara marble with a folded plane of matte-lacquered MDF. The marble's pale surface and gray veining carry familiar associations of luxury and permanence. Supported by the MDF, the thin stone takes on an unexpected lightness.

Strong color and a parallelogram form reduce the sense of volume, making the console read as a flat, graphic composition. By bringing inexpensive MDF together with marble, we explore how material value, structural dependence, and appearance shape our understanding of luxury.
